NSUT XXII will be played on 20-21.10.2007 in Vaasa at the traditional play venue of Kauppis...
Accomodation
The floor accommodation is reserved to you from Friday to Sunday. It is in the same building as last year, old Åbo Akademie building. The address is Kirkkopuistikko 12-14, and the entrance is from the side of Kirjastonkatu. The school opens at 21.00 on Friday and closes at 09:00 on Saturday. On Saturday evening, the school opens at 18:00 and closes on Sunday at 10:00. Remember to take all your staff with you from the school on Sunday morning and don`t leave any trash, please!
There are no mattresses in the accommodation, so bring your own if needed! Please note, that there is NO SHOWERS on the accommodation school, so remember to shower at Kauppis or Rolleri on Saturday. There are many toilets, though.
We have reserved two floors and lots of rooms for the accommodation. There will 1-2 teams per room. People who want to party longer should sleep in the first floor so in the second floor is silence for the people who want to sleep.
The rules in the accommodation building are simple and strict: if you damage anything, you have to pay for everything! IF YOU MAKE A MESS (vomit on the floor etc.) you have to pay 50 EUROS!
Buffet
We have a BUFFET in both gaming venues. You can find food, snacks and drinks with reasonable price to quench your thirst and satisfy your appetite! You can also find our famous NSUT -shop in Kauppis. Shop includes merchandise such as tournament discs and clothing!
Busses
This year we will arrange one bus on the route Helsinki-Tampere-Vaasa and there will be a bustransport in Vaasa for all tournament visitors during the weekend. The prize is 35€/Helsinki and 25€/Tampere, local transport is included in Team Fee. More information about the busses from laura.lappalainen@nsut.com.
On Friday the transportation leaves from HELSINKI at 17.00 from Mikonkatu's chartered bus stop at the railway station. To TAMPERE bus arrives at 19.20 and continues immediately. The bus will arrive at the bus station, at the area near Shell gas station.
On Saturday the buses to Kauppis leave from the accommodation school in the morning at 7.30, 8.00, 8.30 and 9.00. The buses also make a quick stop in front of the Omena-hotel. IMPORTANT: Every team should check what time they should take the bus so that each team will be at gaming venues in schedule.

On Saturday, the busses back to the city leave from Kauppis every 30 minutes starting at 18.15. The last bus will leave at 20.15.
On Sunday morning the buses to Kauppis will leave at 7.30, 8.30, 9.00 and 10.00. The buses will again make a quick stop at the front of Omena hotel. On Saturday you must remember to check the time of your game on Sunday and take the bus early enough to be at the Kauppis before your game starts!! Bus ride from accommodation to Kauppis will take around 20 minutes.
After the games on Sunday the bus downtown leaves from Kauppis at 15.30 and does only a quick tour to Omena hotel. The bus to Tampere and Helsinki leaves at 15.50 from Kauppis and doesn’t stop in the downtown (if the players in finals don`t need a ride)! Make sure you take the right bus!
Games
The games are organized in two sports halls. Kauppis will be the main arena, but on Saturday there will be some games also on Roller-center which is located 5 minutes walk from Kauppis. Location of both halls is shown for exampel here. The buses will stop at Roller center in the morning and continue to Kauppis after that. When you have to change the venue during the day you have to walk the 5 minute distance. Shoes used in both Venues should be indoors sports shoes (so no grass).
The GAME CLOCK starts ALWAYS at even hours and half hours! Remember to have a look at the tournament rules before games. There are many staff members around game venues, just contact them if you need any help. In emergencies you can call Johanna/+3585815002 or Laura/+358503705545.The scoreboard is located in the upper stand of Kauppis. Remember the check your playoff game times from the scoreboard after you have finished your group games.
REMEMBER TO SHOWER at Kauppis & Roller, because there are no showers in the floor accommodation building. We also have a Sauna turned on in the Kauppis on Saturday from 12:00- and Sunday from 09:00- ! Feel free to use it.
Meals
RAX-, Party- and breakfast tickets will be distributed to each team's contact person on Saturday. Open division teams will receive their tickets at the Kauppis and women division teams at Roller-center. You can collect your tickets from buffet.
On Saturday, you can eat dinner in our traditional restaurant partner RAX by giving them the ticket you have received before. You should go to RAX between 17:00-21:00! In order to avoid queues the teams that finish earlier should go and eat before 19:00. RAX will be closed at 21.30 so teams who finish games at 20.00 o'clock should go to the RAX directly after they have arrived to downtown. RAX is located at Kauppapuistikko 13.
On Sunday the serving of the breakfast will begin at the Kauppis at 8.30. Remember to save your ticket to be able to enjoy your free tournament breakfast.
Parties
In NSUT it’s not just about the games so NSUT XXII weekend starts already on Friday. There’s a welcoming party at Munkhaus DOM (Hietasaarenkatu 14) where you can meet all the ultimate folks and NSUT-maniacs.
Note that you must first leave your staff to your accommodation because you can NOT come with your bags to DOM. There is no wardrobe, but the munks fee is 1 euro, which you have to pay at door.
On Saturday we will meet at Munkhaus DOM! The famous tournament party is in Superstereo (some of you may still recall the place as PaNe), which is located just upstairs from DOM. Remember to take your ticket with you. Dom & Superstereo are located at Hietasaarenkatu 14. (How to get the tickets? Check Meals)
Prize ceremony
The prize ceremony is after the Open division final. We hope that players will appreciate the winners and watch the ceremony before leaving the hall! First bus to downtown is leaving at 15.30 and the bus to Tre/Hki at 15.50, so there is no hurry to the busses.
Tournament fee
The standard tournament team fee will be 220 euros. It includes the following for 8 persons: floor accommodation, local transportation in Vaasa, meals and party tickets. Additional players cost +27,5 € each. Note that the team fee must be paid before 28.9.2007.
If your team brings guests who do not wish to play, they can get everything else (meals, party, accommodation, local NSUT-transportation) by paying 17 euros per guest. You can pay the guests together with your team fee.
